This project started out as an owner request for a second floor addition to a house built circa 1998. On the first site visit meeting I noticed a depression in the land. Subsequent investigation & reports lead to an insurance claim for earthquake damage leading eventually (about 2 years) to a rebuild completed 2025.
The existing house was not designed for the expansive views across Christchurch & the Canterbury plains. This new family home takes full advantage of the sun, views & new outdoor living space that includes a heated crystal clear pool.
